Model CIV Chemical Injection Valve

The Model CIV Chemical Injection Valve has been integrated into the latest completion design to facilitate the efficient and secure delivery of treatment chemicals into the tubing string from the surrounding annulus. This valve is seamlessly incorporated into the tubing string and is deployed as part of the downhole assembly.

The valve provides flexibility in chemical injection methods, allowing operators to opt for either control line tubing or casing annulus injection based on operational needs and preferences. Both methods include the capability to initiate chemical flow by pressurizing to burst a rupture disc, offering an optional mechanism for controlled chemical release. For the annulus injection method, the design features a filter screen system to prevent debris from entering the check valve system.

Once the chemicals are injected, specially engineered check valves ensure unidirectional flow into the tubing string. These valves are essential for preventing the backflow of well fluids into the annulus, thereby safeguarding the well’s integrity and optimizing chemical usage

For maintenance or enhancement purposes, the chemical injection valve incorporates a suitable nipple profile, allowing for easy access during workover operations

Regarding performance, the Model CIV is designed to withstand challenging conditions, with a maximum working pressure of up to 10,000 psi (68.9 MPa) and a service temperature range from 40°F (5°C) to 350°F (177°C), adjustable based on the material grade. This robust specification ensures reliability and durability across various operational environments.
