Model PHS Permanent Hydraulic Set Packer

The Model PHS Permanent Hydraulic Set Packer is a high-performance, single-trip permanent packer, ideal for high-angle deviated wells where tubing manipulation for setting initiation is challenging or impossible. It features a large upper seal bore and receiving head that integrates with Enecal’s SK Anchor Tubing Seal Assembly, providing the largest possible internal diameter through the packer via its stabbed seal assembly. Additionally, the packer offers an alternative smaller seal bore option, providing two size choices for tying back the packer for production.

The PHS packer includes its own hydraulic setting system, which can be configured with dual pistons to significantly reduce the pressure required for hydraulic setting. Once set, the upper and lower slips segment into multiple parts, creating a full circumferential double-grip on the casing. It is engineered to withstand differential pressures up to 10,000 psi (68.9 MPa) in certain sizes, with element options suitable for service temperatures up to 400°F (204°C).

Additionally, it features a field-adjustable shear screw to achieve the desired start-to-set pressure, ensuring flexibility and precision in various well conditions.

Key Features & Benefits:
  • Designed and manufactured in accordance with API 11D1 specifications, V0 Element Rating is available in select sizes
  • Features a superior 3-piece multi-durometer element package, safeguarded from extrusion by expandable metal back-up rings for enhanced performance
  • Offers an economical 1-piece packing element option for less demanding wells
  • Bi-directional slips provide a reliable anchor to the casing under high pressure differentials and applied loads.
  • The packer’s bottom sub can be configured to accommodate any type of completion tubing or mill-out extension.
  • Field adjustable shear screw to achieve the desired start-to-set pressure
  • Components, including the core of slips, retain their metallic structure for easy milling
  • All components are rotationally and axially locked to prevent pre-setting when running in the well
