Model RSP Retrievable Hydraulic Smart Well Packer
The Model RSP Packer is used in intelligent completion strings to provide sealing and anchoring while maintaining control over production from multiple zones. The RSP Packer can accommodate several feedthroughs as part of a smart well completions system. With an offset bore, up to five hydraulic or electric feedthroughs are possible, without compromising sealing performance and mechanical capabilities.
The RSP is a removable packer which balances the need for high demand wells and the flexibility of workover options of a traditional retrievable packer. Built to withstand extreme environments with High-Pressure-High-Temperature demands, this new generation packer is suited for the harsh well conditions and deep-set applications.
The packer is tubing-conveyed and set hydraulically via pressuring up the tubing string against a plugging device. Should removal of the packer be required, this can be achieved by mechanical or chemical cutting of a pre-specified cut zone on the packer mandrel.
Engineered to withstand up to 10,000 psi (68.9 MPa) differential pressures, the RSP Packer also offers element options that can endure service temperatures up to 400°F (204°C), ensuring reliability and performance in extreme conditions.
