Model TSV-S Slimline Tubing Retrievable Safety Valve
The Model TSV-S Slim-line Tubing Retrievable Safety Valve is engineered with a unique rod piston design and advance non-elastomer seal flapper-type sub-surface safety valve to allow for a slimmer body with a larger bore. The 4-1/2” TSV-S valve is capable of being deployed in a 7” casing, while the 7” TSV-S valve can be run in a 9-5/8” casing, both featuring large bores. This design enhances the tubing flow rate during operations while maintaining a high level of safety by enabling the valve to shut in the tubing well flow at a desired depth below the wellhead
The TSV-S safety valve is hydraulically controlled from the surface via a control line connected to the surface safety system control panel. It is normally closed and is kept open by hydraulic pressure, which is removed to close the valve
The TSV-S safety valve is tubing-conveyed and features a specially designed slim metal-to-metal sealing body joint and closure mechanism. It includes a uniquely slim metal-to-metal sealing flapper and flapper seat combination to ensure effective pressure gas sealing performance. The slim-type actuating mechanism features a bi-directional, non-elastomeric seal stack to prevent gas migration through the hydraulic control line. The TSV-S Safety Valve is similar to the standard model and is available in both self-equalizing and non-equalizing variants.
The TSV-S safety valve is designed to operate with a maximum working pressure of 8,500 psi (58.6 MPa) and is suitable for service temperatures ranging from 68°F (20°C) to 177°F (350°C), depending on the material grade utilized.
